We, the reunion committee, are very happy to announce that the 40th Reunion of the Class of 1970 - Hopewell High School, was a resounding success.

The weekend started on Friday, October 15th, with the Hopewell High School Homecoming Celebration and our Varsity Football team beating West Allegheny High School, 34 to 26. Then to celebrate the win -and- the start of our reunion weekend, approximately 50 classmates and spouses met at Harold's Inn to renew old friendships and trade tall tales.

On Saturday, October 16th, the committee met early, at the hall, to assure that everything was in place for the arrival of the classmates and guests. And, it should be noted that although we chose to hold a 'casual' reunion, the females of the committee outdid themselves (again) with the decorations and favors. The subtle addition of a few golden mums wrapped in blue foil, the layout of the hall, color coordinated tablecloths & napkins and Class of 1970 personalized favors added a touch of elegance to a perfect night.

The doors opened promptly at 7:00PM and by the time that the last straggler arrived at 8:30PM, there were 73 classmates and an additional 28 spouses and significant others in attendance. The food and drink was plentiful and the music brought back memories of our high school years. But, the best part of the entire weekend was the ability to meet again with old friends that we've unfortunately lost touch with over these past 40 years.

We hope that all of you that attended from out of town made it home safely and feel that the trip was worth it. And, we hope that ALL that attended will spread the word to those classmates that were unable to attend so that they might join us at our next gathering.

We also ask that you continue to help us find our Missing Classmates. If you can gather email addresses for classmates that we do not already have, we'd appreciate your sending them to us.

Welcome to the Class of 1970 - Hopewell High School Website.

This website is for the use and enjoyment of those Hopewell High School classmates that graduated in 1970. We hope it brings back some fond memories of a very special time in our lives. You will find photos from our yearbook, the 5th, 10th, 16th, 20th, 25th, 30th & 40th reunions and a compilation of photos & memorabilia provided by our classmates.

We have set up a class of '70 directory where each classmate has a separate page containing their graduation photo, contact data, and general information. We will soon create a special form that will ask each of you to provide a brief biography of your wanderings and accomplishments over the past forty years. Until that time, you are encouraged to send us information about yourselves and anything you might know about other classmates (including photos, both vintage and current). We hope that over time, and with your help, we will have a wealth of information about our friends and classmates.

For your information, the Classmate Directory (and any page that contains personal information) will only be accessible to classmates subscribed within our system. This membership system will be monitored and any subscriber not known to be a 1970 classmate will immediately be disabled.
